Christina Pezzarossi, a Montana native, captivates audiences with her “smoky mezzo,” making her mark on national opera stages. She has performed with Opera Santa Barbara as El Gato (El Gato con Botas), Rossweisse (Die Walküre), Margaret (The Light in the Piazza), and Lucilla (La scala di seta). Other highlights include Ino (Semele), Wellgunde (Das Rheingold), and Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly, Central City Opera). In 2024, she debuted with Opera in the Heights as Margaret and with Opera San Luis Obispo as Carmen. She returns to Opera Santa Barbara as Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro). She will complete her DMA at UCSB in 2025. Offstage, Christina enjoys teaching voice, hiking with her husband Colin, and playing with their dog Leilani.
