The Verdi Chorus believes that the power of music is universal. The beauty and grandeur of operatic music performed live is life enhancing for all to enjoy and should be accessible to everyone without exception. We are committed to inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, identity, and experience. We strive to bring opera to a broad audience who may not otherwise have access by keeping ticket prices low and providing discounts to students, seniors, and groups. Our singers, both professional and volunteer, are selected solely on the basis of their singing and performing abilities. As a result, they hail from a diverse range of ages, cultures, ethnicities, races, countries of origin, and walks of life. Our commitment to inclusion is aligned with our mission and will continue to be reflected in our vision, strategic plans, and goals.
